Teamsters Local 2785 represents members of San Francisco and San Mateo counties. Our members work in a variety of industries and positions. Our message is that you are never alone as long as you are part of a union. If you are part of a union, you will never be devalued as a single employee. As a member of the union, you are supported by the strength of more than two thousand members of Local 2785 in San Francisco and San Mateo counties and by the national members of 1.5 million Teamsters. At Local 665, we also know that union membership adds dignity, strength and well-being that comes from being part of the huge Teamster family. Our members work for UPS as sorters, loaders, unloaders, power drivers and delivery drivers, in the film industry as drivers and site managers and scouts, for Trade Show & Convention Center as forklift operators, warehouse workers, scanners, balance operators, rigging, electric pallet lifts, loading and unloading and operating trucks and vans. We work for airlines, loading and unloading for catering, operators of brewery and soft drink forklifts and delivery people. We have front-end construction and construction drivers and Class A trucking drivers. We are a proud family of over 100,000 Teamsters members in the San Francisco Bay Area alone. Our Union brings dignity, security and pride when it works in jobs that offer fair wages and good job security. In our case, we park cars, prepare rental cars for the street, are cashiers, work at car dealerships, drive school bus, pull cars, sign delivery, shuttles, tourist buses, parts delivery, car transportation, taxi, tap gas and safety control mechanic work, clean and polishing, parts counter person, retail stores, dispatchers, tire store employees, salespeople, gardeners too! & Dyeing, Construction, Tire Men, Day Caregivers, Technician Program Sellers, Truck Leasing, Journeyman`s Parts, Body Shop, Retreading Service, Route Coordinator, Baggage Handler, Para-Transit Driver.
The list of our membership work is long and varied. Most people think that Teamsters only deal with delivery people. We know that Teamsters members include men and women in an incredible variety of professions. We are proud to be part of the 1.5 million-member Teamsters Union, the largest and strongest in the free world. We are a key segment of the more than 70,000 Teamsters union members in the San Francisco Bay Area who are committed to a better future for our families and for ourselves. Our goal is always to fight for the rights of our members and organize non-unionized members so that we can improve the working conditions of more and more workers in San Mateo and San Francisco counties. .
